Some Orwellian bullshit happening right now in Ferguson. Reporters arrested, SWAT teams swarming.

Ferguson, MO has a population that is sixty-seven percent black. The mayor is white, the school board is white (and they suspended the black school superintendent). The rate at which the police, fifty-three strong, only three who aren’t white perform traffic stops? 82% black.
Welcome, to post-racial America. Don’t bother trying to point out any kind of systemic degradation that any black people may face, we’ll just bring out the SWAT teams.

Uh they let you have a president. Now you want the presumption of innocence and a right to not be shot? Jeez, you people, given an inch taking a mile. Just shut up and put your hands over your heads.

"What’s wrong with death sir? What are we so mortally afraid of? Why can’t we treat death with a certain amount of humanity and dignity, and decency, and God forbid, maybe even humor. Death is not the enemy, gentlemen. If we’re going to fight a disease, let’s fight one of the most terrible diseases of all, indifference."
